Jonathan Wakely offered a patch to cleanup Issue 5 (https://github.com/weidai11/cryptopp/issues/5). The patch is available at "Remove VC6 hacks in AssignFromHelperClass" (https://github.com/weidai11/cryptopp/pull/7/files).
Jonathan is one of the GCC maintainers, and I believe he works on all things C++ related. I don't know where the eventual line will be drawn on dropping support for older gear, but I feel like VC 5.0 and 6.0 (and some others, like 1990's era IDEs) will fall outside that line. I'd like to get the patch committed as soon as possible. Any comments or objections? -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "Crypto++ Users" Google Group.
