Hello.

I am returning to Linux after several years away. I have used debian in the
past, and I am proficient with computers, but I am NOT a *nix Power User.
I have chosen Linux Mint Debian Environment (LMDE 2 - "Betsy") as my OS.

I used apt-get and installed Crypto++ 5.6.1-6+deb8u1
But, I need version 5.6.2 or later.

So, I downloaded and compiled version 5.6.3 ...

... and the cryptotest.exe program PASSES ALL TESTS.

But, when I try to compile the code I wish to, using cmake, I get this
error:

* Could NOT find CryptoPP: Found unsuitable version "5.6.1", but required
is at least "5.6.2" (found /usr/include)*

How can I fix this? It seems that I have 5.6.1 and 5.6.3 on my machine, but
the 5.6.1 version was installed using apt-get and is taking precedence over
5.6.3

I imagine it is some kind of symbolic link issue, but I cannot find the
solution.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
