I've got an artist on my project who is much more comfortable with
modeling in 3ds max than blender. He specifically has problesm
texturing well in blender. Since CS supports 3ds files natively now, I
figured this wouldn't be an issue. I do know that materials in 3ds and
CS are very different things. So, I had him texture is using uvw. I
figured that would be best. It's a very simple mesh, and texture.
However, viewmesh gives me the following errors:

crystalspace.genmesh3dsfactoryloader.load: Can't find material '02 - Default'!
crystalspace.genmesh3dsfactoryloader.load: Error parsing the 3DS file!
crystalspace.genmesh3dsfactoryloader.load: Error loading 3DS file!

So, I figure that there's something wrong on my end. I guess the main
question here, is simply how do I have to texture a 3ds file inorder
to get the mesh to load appropriately? What of directory structure
concerns? (He's on windows, and has all his textures in "My
Documents/My Pictures" where as I'm developing on linux).

Any help explaining this would be of great help. Once I figure out how
to get everything working right for larger meshes, I'll write a how to
for the community site.

Thanks!
