Hi All, If you are interested in either entering the US market or expanding your existing presence there, market assessment can be a beneficial step before investing time or money on lawyers, accountants, finding venture capital, finding partners, opening offices, or employing people. The market assessment service is open to companies focussed on getting business-to-business (not consumer) technology products and services into the US.
The service is there to: * Identify potential drivers of demand for the Company's Products and Services in the United States. Drivers include: technology, demographic, legal, legislative, financial, press and analysts, etc. * Identify target markets in the US for the Company's Products and Services: industry, location, size, annual turnover, etc. List the names of representative organizations who would be target customers. Indicate the potential size of each identified market. * Create a list of company names with competitive products and services. It includes their location, size, approximate market share or market size of their products and services, and a high level description of what they offer. A lack of competition from other companies or in-house solutions presents a huge barrier to success. * Identify representative names and types of US firms with the requisite skills, credentials, and business models to be potential partners in the marketing, sale, and implementation of the Products and Services. * Identify the professional organizations where the target customers and potential partners are likely to be members. * Provide an expert opinion on the level of interest in the US for the solution offered by the the company. Provide a recommendation on whether or not to proceed with a project to enter the United States market at this time and, if so, the next steps in the process. The service is provided by Mark Ripma of US based Menlo Park Research. Mark has significant experience in the technology sector in the US ranging from start ups through to large corporates PeopleSoft and Cisco systems. He will be in Christchurch on the 4th and 5th of September. If you would like to arrange a meeting with him, then do get in touch with me cheers James __________________________________________ James W.
