Internet solutions.

WORKSHOP 2

Topic: Making the most of a trade fair: A case study on upgrading your 'Business
Communication Toolkit'
Date: Wednesday, 6 October 2004
Time: 2.00pm - 5.00pm
Venue: The Canterbury Development Corporation, Level 2, 193 Cashel Street, The Britten
Room
Cost: Free (Fully funded by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise)
Presenter: Patrick E.J Rottiers

Workshop Description:
Almost any business faces the challenge of making most of a trade fair opportunity.
This seminar will assist you in getting the best possible 'return on investment' from
such business gatherings, through analysing both preparation, execution and follow-up
phases in a very hands-on approach. Questions to be explored are:
* Deciding what fair to attend? Trade fairs as part of the marketing plan
* A trade fair as a marketing investment, not a promotional cost
* Logistics preparation, execution and following-up a trade fair
On a larger scale, any business faces the challenge of being perceived as credible
partner in the (international) market place. The seminar focuses on both the larger
framework and the most practical aspects of your business communication processes. Not
only will this seminar upskill your insight in business communication essentials, it
will prove a crucial workout towards your 'Business Communication Toolkit'. This
toolkit is a low-cost, multimedia approach that can transform, in as little as 2
weeks, the way the global market perceives your business and is instrumental in your
dealings with investors, banks, distributors, business partners, funding organisations
and of course your clients and prospects.

NOTE: The seminar's content can be used directly in your daily communications and in
preparing for the Connectivity fair Nov 2-3 in Canterbury. For further information
regarding this trade fare, please contact James Saruchera: ph (03) 353 6879 e-mail
