The Canterbury Software Cluster is holding its AGM on 20 October 2004 at Cii. It will follow straight after the Software Summit which Andrei Link announced on the forum yesterday.  Paid-up cluster members have already received by email the formal notice of the AGM

If you didn’t receive the formal notice earlier this week then you’re not currently a member of the cluster.  You can join or renew your membership here http://www.canterburysoftware.org.nz/spis/runisa.dll?SV:joincsi. Check the benefits of being a member if you’re not certain about what belonging to the cluster would offer you http://canterburysoftware.org.nz/benefits.htm.

As outgoing chair of the cluster, I’d also like to invite nominations for committee members for 2004/5.  If there’s someone who you think would make an effective contribution to the progress of the cluster, please nominate them by emailing Dann Olykan, the cluster’s secretary, at [EMAIL PROTECTED]. (Remember that if you hit the reply button to this email from me, your reply will go to the email forum.)  You are welcome to nominate yourself.  Cluster members will elect the new committee at the AGM.

The committee meets once a month and, depending on what’s happening, most committee members contribute a few hours a month outside of that monthly meeting.  It’s a good way to put something back into the industry and to meet a few new people at the same time. Please feel free to email me directly ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) or telephone me on 332 3736 if you want to find out more about what’s involved before nominating yourself or someone else.
