Tony Breen of Webscape www.webscape.co.nz will share with us their insight into an issue that does affect a lot of developers - project estimation. In his elevator pitch Tony will discuss a planning problem they experienced and then demonstrate a planning tool they are developing to address this. The planning tool is directly related to the activities software developers engage in on a day to day basis. Lex Newbegin of Smitch www.smitch.co.nz have developed an innovative mobile phone controlled switch that lets you turn anything on or off by simply phoning it. A winner of several innovation awards, Smitch are on the look out for potential technology partners, particularly those involved in developing software or hardware for mobile devices. 3.Chris Blair of Zodal www.zodal.net who has just returned from the New York Flash Forward Conference will be sharing with us the very latest developments in Flash and will be highlighting some of the advantages that the newly acquired support from Macromedia will bring to the Kiwi Flash users groups based here in Christchurch. We will be joined by a number computer science students who have an interest in learning more about developments in industry so tonight's elevator will be a full house.
