Following an initiative by several of us last year, Christchurch City
Council has commissioned an impact study on the likely opportunities and
threats posed by the burgeoning telecommunication infrastructure
developments here in Canterbury and the role it might play in it.
Lance McKechie of Consultel has agreed to meet with us on Friday afternoon
to brief us on the study as well as to hear our broad concerns. Following
on from this he may wish to interview some of us separately. I attach a
paper I wrote about it.
If you have a strong opinion about this and would like to join us, we are
meeting at CII again at 200 Armagh St at 4pm this Friday, the 13th July.
