I thought when they released the update to allow for more players it was only
for casual mode and not for other modes. In any case, would be much better to
make it a cvar for this. Pointless to make it hard, do expect us all to be epic
coders to go through scripts and change values? I know its not hard to do it,
but why not make it user-friendly!
P.S. Just so the other issue does not get wiped off the table: Still looking
for the freezecam answer. :)

You can have more than 10 players, you just need to increase the player counts
in your gamemode.txt.
Simple things like this not being cvars is one of the main issues people
currently have with the gamemode.txt style of configuration.
We don't have definite answers yet on what Valve plans to do with this. You
could probably use sourcemod to change stuff like this for now (I'm not sure
though).
