You're looking at the wrong quickplay option. Your server will show up
under the second quickplay option which has no filters and is less
likely to be used.

So the map group you choose when you use quickplay does not directly
correspond to the bomb / hostage / dust mapgroups on a server? It just
chooses a server that has one of the maps running of the group you
selected?

They do not exclude you from the quickplay pool. The only
requirement is that there is 3 players in the server (clientside
default preference).

I just set up my community's new CS:GO server. One thing I
noticed that you have to set a mapgroup in the launch
parameter of your server, replacing the old mapcycle system.
But what if players want to change the mapgroup, can they vote
for that? I want my players to be able to play both the bomb
defusal and hostage map rotation. I know you can make custom
mapgroups, but these probably exclude you from the quickplay
pool?
