Sorry, that reply was to Eric.

Also, the problem with having community hosted matchmaking servers is they can
be exploited by the Admin to game the stats.

Reading the text off console, etc.

I think if they bumped the allocated resources to the valve matchmaking servers
(128tick) then the matchmaking folks would be happy, and the folks who play
community servers would be unaffected.

Also, some method of filtering the map pool would be nice, but I'll leave my
in-game suggestions to the forums :P

I was not making community vs matchmaking

I was comparing third parties hosted servers (hardware, bandwidth and OS setup)
to valve hosted servers.

If there was a way to have some sort of matchmaking like you can in tf2 MvM
that would be perfect :)

Community servers don't facilitate 'pick up games' generally. Those of us who
like to play standard 5 on 5 competitive games are the ones who benefit from
matchmaking.

Community servers also have their place as an alternative to the 'classic
casual' official servers, with the benefits of community add-ons, plugins,
custom maps, a consistent community.

They are for two different purposes. They both have a place.

Until you realize Community Servers are pretty much better in every way. That
becomes even more true once you find a solid community on a server you like.

Unless you're not a social gamer. The silent, COD types probably love MM.

Stupid answer :) MM is a great feature, probably the thing that'll make CSGO
the best CS esport-wise.
