All configs clean atm.

in screenlog -> server.cfg was loaded -> on FTP -> there is a empty server.cfg -.-

could there anything like a "cache" or so where old data are still available on a gameserver? :D if not: i have to book the ghostbusters! ;)

Right, and in none of your configs is sv_password ""? check them all, including gamemode configs or one of those odd text files?

Some of these configs get loaded on connect or map change.

Other than that, I've got no ideas!

Right!

    His problem is that whenever anyone connects, the password gets
    changed from **password** to " ".

        Just throwing this out there, but could the space in there be
        affecting it?

        For no password, it should be set to "" rather than " ", but
        perhaps CSGO does some processing on the passwords removing
        spaces or something.

        Sounds like you are trying to get it to stay set to an actual
        password though.

        I'd go through your configs again and make sure you don't have
        a blank password being set somewhere by one of the configs.
