Well since the one update that made linux performance worse, after 2 days being on, server instance now eats 1,8 gigs of memory instead of less than gigabyte before. In 3 days it will die on memory error and stays down untill booted up.

Something is definitely broken and there are severe lag spikes that are caused by spiking cpu usage out of nowhere. These were not there before.

altPUG experienced this for a while post-arms deal update. Were were able to isolate this issue to clients opening the game and connecting to altPUG servers via the steam /connect/ URI handler. steam://connect/serverip:port

Once the game is open connecting via the URI handler is fine - but if you both open the game and connect via the URI handler (I.E. someone clicks a connect link with the game closed) our users experienced severe FPS issues when enemies entered their screen.

I don't know if your clients are connecting to your server this way - but this was the cause of substantial frustrations on our end.

People have been complaining about this issue since the first skins update. I don't think it's an issue with your server as I've seen it on matchmaking too. Think there's a mem leak affecting a lot of users.

            Hi,

we are having some clients reporting random fps drops.

Could they be caused by some cvar setting?

Currently we are running with tickrate 128 and these settings:

            sv_minrate 35000
            sv_maxrate 128000
            sv_minupdaterate 40
            sv_maxupdaterate 128
            sv_mincmdrate 40
            sv_maxcmdrate 128

            sv_maxusrcmdprocessticks 0

and will try to change to:

            sv_minrate 20000
            sv_maxrate 128000
            sv_minupdaterate 40
            sv_maxupdaterate 128
            sv_mincmdrate 40
            sv_maxcmdrate 128

            without forcing sv_maxusrcmdprocessticks

Anything else we could look to find out why certain
            clients have fps drops?
