I've posted this before, but it seems like it was fixed in an update. The steam_appid.txt is not included in the latest update that is downloaded from SteamCMD. I just did a fresh install of CS:GO on 2 different machines, and both times the steam_appid.txt file was missing.
This is not a huge problem, but it would make it a lot easier to automate the setup process (I'm running a game host).
