Those specs i mentioned are based on a single average server. Which I would
guess be arround 10 - 20 players.

for the machines we would like to virtualise upon we have several options:
High CPU machines these types have one virtual core for every 0.90 GB of
RAM from 2 till 16 cores.

or High Memory types which have 6.5GB RAM per virtual core.
also from 2 till 16 cores

A virtual CPU is implemented as a single hyperthread on a 2.6GHz Intel
Sandy Bridge Xeon or Intel Ivy Bridge Xeon (or newer)

We will be hosting  smaller amounts of high slot servers and several with
arround 10 to 20 slots

OS: In a farming perspective, do the costs of Windows license overweight
the profit of performance compared to Linux.

I would like to operate without virtualisation but to be honost I dont see
how this is cost efficient from a business perspective.
