It's mental masturbation. He isn't necessarily wrong in his argument, but he isn't saying anything insightful either. I've watched him dickwave his way through Reddit for long enough to know he can't resist commenting on something like this. At least he added some comedy to this rant with his "don't make me run to mommy and daddy" bit halfway through.
Anybody can look back on the way people acted in the spur of the moment and preach about how things should have been handled.
