Even though it uses information already available to you, it's an
augmentation of your natural hearing ability -- sound is supposed to stay
sound, visual is supposed to stay visual. If one player has their audio
augmented by having a visual representation of the sound, they have a clear
unfair competitive advantage.

That said, experienced players who have not used this before would likely
find it to be a hindrance to how they've learned to play the game -- I'd
feel as though it would be a distraction to me.
