Just use the suggestion hlstriker posted, or change your url often. Also you asked why clients should even know the url, well the clients needs to connect to it to download the files, and if the client connects to it at all then it's possible to find it.
You want a solution to your problem and people are giving you answers but you seem to be very set straight in just hiding the download url, well the short answer is you can't.
