This is finally fixed in today's 9/7/17 (9/8/17 UTC) update:

[ MISC ]

– Fixed an issue that caused a client error “CL_ReadPreserveEnt: u.m_nNewEntity == MAX_EDICTS” on some community servers.

Hey, anybody having the same issues with this bug?

I've recently got back working on writing a plugin and for testing purposes I run a DS on my machine.

But I get randomly kicked when I rejoin my own server (or sometimes 10 seconds after), without any real kick message. However in my console (game not server) I get this message:

Host_Error: CL_ReadPreserveEnt: u.m_nNewEntity == MAX_EDICTS

I'ts really annoying and requires me to restart the server before I'm able to reconnect to it.

I've tried reinstalling the whole DS, so I'ts a clean build with no addons/plugins. And reinstalled my own game.

Also tested with a small plugin that tells how many edicts are currently in the table, and it's at most 700 edicts (which is under the 4096 limit).

I've googled but I couldn't find anything useful, except some recent TF2 patch that has been bothering players in that game, but nothing for CSGO.

Last time (about a month ago) when I was working on things everything went well and never had an issue. Now I got some free time I wanted to pickup where I left and I'm getting this random error.

If anybody could point me on the right track, thanks in advance,

Gilles Van Vlasselaer
