Innovision-the annual tech fest, will be held from 29th-31st Jan'10. The online events for the same would start two weeks before the actual date of commencement.
There would be 4 online events this year, the details of which are as follows... ENIGMATA Enigmata, a highly innovative and mind twisting online puzzle game is one of the mega online event of Innovision- the annual inter-college technical fest of NSIT. It's a codebreaking event consisting of different puzzles arranged in the form of levels. At each level, one is given a bunch of clues, using which one has to figure out the answer to that level. Using the answer one moves to the next level. Everything on the page is a hint- text, picture and even the source code of the page. BULLS AND BEARS It's as an online stock market simulation event. It is an event where trading of equities or stocks of listed companies is simulated in real time environment .Initially the participants are allocated a particular amount to buy their stocks with. News updates regarding each company that the participants have invested in intermittently appear on the website thus giving an indication to the participant as to what is to be done with their stocks. The equity or stock value is updated after fixed interval of time. At the end of the trading period the one who has made the maximum profits is declared the winner. As the event is an online event it entices participants from various colleges across the country. DIGITAL FORTRESS Digital fortress is an online event for white-hat hackers to show their talent and win great prizes. In this event the participants are given some web-space to make their web pages and make them as secure as possible. The participants compete by hacking into each other's account and the one who keeps his domain safe and hacks the most wins the competition. BODMAS BODMAS as the name suggests is an online quiz for mathematical geeks. It consists of various complex mathematical problems to solve. The level of the problems rises as one proceeds in the game. The participant solving the most number of problems and thus the highest score wins the competition.
