Greetings:

I'm re-posting this query because I am truly at a loss. I'm working
from the latest unofficial Csound CVS, and when I try to run autoconf I
receive this message:

        [dlphilp@localhost csound]$ autoconf
configure.in:48: error: AC_REQUIRE: cannot be used outside of an
m4_defun'd macro
        configure.in:48: AC_PROG_AWK is required by...
        configure.in:48: the top level

Can anyone tell me what's gone wrong ? I've never had this problem
compiling from CVS, yet I'm getting it even when I try compiling some
older sources. Any suggestions ?

My existing csound binary is failing too with this error:

        [dlphilp@localhost dlphilp]$ csound
csound: error in loading shared libraries: csound: undefined symbol:
cerr

Anyone have a suggestion as to what's gone wrong ? I may have
accidentally fouled my system but I don't know what I should be looking
to untangle.

Best regards,

== Dave Phillips
