Hi All
Thanks everyone for the replies. I have tidied the code up a bit and
tried to fix the width problems that IE Win was experiencing. I also
found I needed to apply a better clearer so I used Holly and John's
method which seems to be working fine. This is the first site that I
have built from the ground-up. I usually use other code and redesign
using colours and sizes. I have been trying to learn as much as
possible!
Does the site now work in all browsers or is there still trouble size
wise for IE?

not too bad, at least font/viewport re-sizing doesnt totally blow it.
The only thing I saw in IE6 was "Enjoy Unique Jewellery" ending up
hidden behind the 'icons of jewels'.
i also find that the girl's picture is stretched, and that makes me
feel weird.
Yes sorry about that - the pictures are fill ins to show content.
Is there supposed to be more borders around the main content areas?
the borders seem incomplete, so im not sure.
I don't understand why they are not showing. In div maincontent I have
asked it to show border left and right.
as far as CSS goes...
there's a lot of pos.relatives, and pos.rel and left/tops @ 0px. Do
you really need these?
Dumped - I thought I had to have them!
You use shorthands (#ccc) at times, but not at others (#ffffff). I
guess it's personal preference, but i like using all shorthands when i
can.
I'll try to get in the habit. Thanks.
also, a lot of developers like to set all margins/padding to 0 to
start with, like this;
* {margin:0, padding:0}. You might want to explore doing this.
Have I not done this with the body element right at the start of the
css.
The pages concerned are:
<http://wilson.cregy.net/> and
<http://wilson.cregy.net/styles/pages.css>
Thanks
Rich
