This is just my standard CSS starter... I can't remember why I did it, just
that it seems to work nicer..

These are errors on purpose for IE6 - using _propname to give IE specific
rules. Any suggestions on how I might satisfy the validator and not break
the design?

It is working fine and looks good in XP_SP2 IE6./FF/Opera/
Why do you have 1em font-size on the html and 75% font-size on the body
(em is doing a minor number on it at text-size largest in IE)?
When you get around to it there are a couple of easily fixable css 
errors to be corrected.
