Hi Lee,

I can't check your page on Safari (no Mac yet, but I hope to remedy that 
this weekend!), but I can tell you that Safari anti-aliases type. Most 
of the time, this makes the text easier to read, but perhaps not when it 
is white on black?  White on black is definitely harder to read for 
certain people (I find it rather tough myself).

Perhaps a compromise would be to add a different color block behind the 
main text area only.  It would be a shame to lose the black in the rest 
of the page -- it's a very nice design, IMO.  What about a pink, green, 
or purple in the main area?  I think you could make it work with some 
playing.
