Hmm. I don't think that's right. Perhaps Roger is thinking of XHTML 1.1? Personally, I see no reason to use a transitional DOCTYPE for any new design. Having said that, you have made the text plenty big enough for me to read on my 15" 1400 x 1050 pixel laptop.
