Honestly, zero aspersions were cast. We have /all/ been there. Can't sit
and work with code all day and not be distracted by shiny things.
Happens to the best of us.

Mostly, I'm just fascinated that it even works. :/

Ha! Sure.

If I had to guess, I'd imagine someone in marketing has gotten it into
their head that adding an H2 in there will somehow affect the way search
engines rank the page. I had a client once request something similarly
invalid (H3's /inside/ anchors...for /every/ anchor). Interestingly
enough, it had zero effect on the site's ranking on Google, though I
can't say how other search engines handled it (I was too annoyed to find
out).

Sometimes, a little information can be worse than complete and total
ignorance, but in any event, I'm glad you found a fix and will add your
technological and biological distinctiveness...ohh, wow...someone's been
watching too much Start Trek. I'll make a note of it...thanks for writing.

Engage!
Bill
