Sure. If I had to guess, I'd imagine someone in marketing has gotten it into their head that adding an H2 in there will somehow affect the way search engines rank the page. I had a client once request something similarly invalid (H3's /inside/ anchors...for /every/ anchor). Interestingly enough, it had zero effect on the site's ranking on Google, though I can't say how other search engines handled it (I was too annoyed to find out). Sometimes, a little information can be worse than complete and total ignorance, but in any event, I'm glad you found a fix and will add your technological and biological distinctiveness...ohh, wow...someone's been watching too much Start Trek.
