Will your client notice the differences and would it be an issue to your client?
The global nav on the site which I work on looks different in IE and Firefox, and I don't think the clients have even noticed. http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ I had almost no input in the structure of this page nor the structure of the global nav.
