I'm not sure how to respond within a thread so apologies for that. I want to
thank Tim Snadden and Bobby Jack for your help. I feel foolish that I missed
that. Tim I tried your most simplified code but wasn't able to make it work.
I'm referring to this: #photonav  a:hover { background-position: 0 -217px; }

Now that the mean problem is solved. I wonder if anyone can help with these
other two problems:

1. There is a horizontal break at the top of the page (below the main
navigation) where the background is showing through. It's not supposed to be
like that.

2. The html text throughout the site appears to be smaller than the 12
px I set it too and it is also serifed rather sans serif. The only thing
that looks right about the text is the color. I'm really mystified by the
fact that one style is taking hold but not the others that I set up for it.
I think this only happens in the more recent IE and Firefox browsers and I
think it started when I set the site up with Cushy CMS so that my friend
will be able to easily make updates to the site on her own.

Here is the URL again: http://quiglitzin.com/index.php

Thanks a lot!
