    That refers to the Mailman archive, which is private.  I can't 
change that text, unfortunately, or I would.  There are a number of 
public mirrors of the list, one with my permission and the rest 
without.  In the latter cases, there's really not much I can do. 
Anyone can sign up for a mailing list, and having a mail account 
forward to, say, an NNTP gateway or a web forum is almost trivially 
easy these days.  The policies forbid this but very few people bother 
to read the policies any more.  Fewer still would abort plans to 
create a mirror even if they did read them.
    Theresa's suggestion to modify the Policies page is well taken, 
and I will do so now.  Thank you, Theresa!
