I must admit that all of this becomes more fascinating each time you
write but that I have the distinct disadvantage on not having the same
IE Mobile hand set as yours. Nevertheless,I have put up a new page.
Please see if it come any closer to meeting your goal. Note the

The only other solution I can think of is to follow what Luca Passani
suggests [runs counter to w3c mobile recommendations]. Personally, I
would not recommend this but when push comes to shove you may not have
