James Joseph Masanz commented on CTAKES-78:
-------------------------------------------
I don't think there is any reason any more to have special models for unit test.
Originally we were not sure we would get the OK to release the default bundled
models publicly.
I think if the models would always be upwardly compatible, it was also good to
have simple unit test models so that if we change the default models we don't
have to check if the unit tests need to be updated. But unfortunately we have
since learned we cannot expect the models to always be upwardly compatible. And
we have continuous integration in the works now.

> The Chunker unit test cases needs updating.
> The unit-test-model-bin.gz, etc. needs updating. Missing the
> manifest.properties. I presume after the opennlp upgrade, we never updated
> the unit tests.
> Larger question- Why do we need special models for unit tests? Can't we use
> the default bundled such as chunker.bin and just update the expected results?
