Dear Software Professional, The Cape Town SPIN (Software Process Improvement Network) is having its first meeting of the year tomorrow (Wednesday, 18 January) at our new venue - the CITI Bandwidth Barn at 125 Buitengracht Street, Cape Town. The year will certainly start on a high note with two expert speakers presenting. There is even going to be food and refreshments! Our first speaker will be Dr. Heinz Kabutz, a recognized Java expert who was recently honored by being awarded the coveted title "Sun Java Champion" by Sun Microsystems. The topic of his talk is Productive Coder. Our second speaker will be Nico de Wet. Nico has worked in a number of academic, research and commercial environments and will share his expertise on UML 2.0 with us. His talk is entitled Slow Start Modeling in the Java World - Low Risk Beginnings using UML.
