Sun Microsystems is putting on a spectacular event that will be well worth attending. They looked around at the JUGs and picked the least dysfunctional one (Gauteng) ;-) This means, we will need to make an effort to get ourselves up there. The dates are the 3rd and 4th of May. Here is what I recommend: Those who can afford to fly, look at the packages that Sun have arranged for us: http://www.suntechdays.co.za/travel_packages.htm For those that cannot afford to fly, put some pressure on the larger Java companies around the Cape to rent several VW Kombis and drive up. Then find some kindly souls up in Gauteng to accommodate you. Personally, I think that spending R 2825 for the flight and two nights accommodation in Gauteng is a bargain! There is an excellent shuttle service with Avis, called Avis point-to-point. They pick you up where you want, and drop you off where you want.
