Hi All,

I am investigating the ical and vcal standards for calendaring. I was
wondering if anybody has had any experience with these standards and
could maybe share some light on a few issues.

1.)Does anybody know of any good Java open source projects that can
help to write/read calendar streams with objects? I know of the
project called "iCal4j". Has anybody used it? Is it good?
2.)Is it possible to send email via java mail api with correct content
types and the ical standard, to mail clients like outlook who then
interpret the mail as an calendar event.
3.)Can email clients read ical or vcal attachments from mail received?
4.)What would you suggest to support both vcal and ical as surly some
older clients can only interpret the vcal standard. Or have most of
the major clients already implemented support for the ical standard.
5.)How does this all work with mobile devices?

Finally if anybody has any knowledge about the topic that you can
share it would be appreciated both positive and negative.

Looking forward to your responses
