Hi all, My firm (Business Systems Group) is wanting to host a talk for the JUG, what are the steps involved? From what I can tell from other posts it's as simple as announcing date, venue and topic. And organising snacks, that seems to be a non-negotiable ;-).
If that is all there is to it, consider this a heads up: the topic will be GWT, the presenter David Tinker, formerly of Hemisphere and JDOGenie fame. Venue-wise we are looking at UCT and hoping to invite students as well as JUG members. I spent four years at UCT wishing JUG talks were advertised to students, so now that I'm organising one, I'm gonna make sure it happens ;-). Date will be mid-July. I'll be putting together an official invite and ask for RSVPs once we have these details confirmed. Anyone got anything else we should be taking into consideration?
