So for those of us fortunate enough to have a Java job where we do a lot of
Java coding, the issue of certification seems to be a personal one. Mainly
to give us confidence, whereas if you are looking for a Java job the
programmer and either web developer or developer coupled with some tertiary
qualification would be nice.

Back to the web services exam, it does seem to cover quite a lot of low
level plumbing and does not focus on JAX-WS 2 (which is kinda cool, well
cool cos the JEE 5 framework handles a lot of the nitty gritty through
annotations).

>From my personal opinion, studying for the web component certification was
extremely useful seeing the amount of servlet/jsp code we write where I
work. And because it looks cute on my CV, it gives me more confidence
