All LB 7 applicants must submit a letter of intent by June 30, which can be signed by
the librarian and faxed (see Appendix C of LB 7 for a sample letter).

TIFTech provides basic orientation to implementing a TIF grant and integrating the
Internet in small libraries. (See the course description at
http://www.ctls.net/TIFTech/Home1.htm)

LB 7 allows both Program A and Program B applicants to send staff or volunteers to
TIFTech.

Program A applicants can get an additional $6,000 specifically to pay for travel to
TIFTech and the TIFTech sessions. This is in addition to the $30,000 base allocation,
and it should be enough for up to 3 persons.

Program B applicants can also use TIF funds for travel to TIFTech and the sessions,
but there is no additional allocation for TIFTech.

All grantees are encouraged to send inexperienced staff to at least the Library
Integration session on reference using Web resources.

Only first-time Program A grantees are required to attend TIFTech, and even they can
opt out by certifying that they already know what TIFTech will teach.
