We allow
the staff to use the cameras, but if they damage it, they have to replace it.
Unlike some equipment, there is little “loss” otherwise—the battery is
rechargeable, no film is wasted. The staff member uses her own diskette. The
public may not use it, but if the prices get low enough, an argument could be
made for buying one for public use, similar to the old Polaroid program. It is
more likely that the camera would be used. Just need to figure out if this is
what you WANT to do. How is it an essential library service? ----------------------------------------------------- Dale L. Ricklefs, Library Director Round Rock Public Library System 216 E. Main, Round Rock, TX 78664 512-218-7010 (voice); 512-218-7061 (fax);
