Here's the latest from the Texas State Library on remote patron access for the TexShare databases . . . FYI-(from Bev Shirley): LRS is getting ready to send out a mass mailing to all the public libraries allowing them to provide remote access to the TSLAC database gateway. Although each library has a unique ID and password, this initial effort will not allow the libraries to track usage statistics. (We have not written a script to tally usage according to user name and password.) The ultimate goal is to transition to a program that not only allows the libraries to gather usage statistics, but also provides each library with a web page customized with its library name. This application is not yet beta tested, so I can't predict at what point it will be implemented. --------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Include in body: unsubscribe ctls-l For information on CTLS-L please visit: http://www.ctls.net/document/ctls-l.htm
