They're here!

MARC records for netLibrary ebooks are now available.
TexShare member libraries may choose to get eMARC records free of charge
through netLibrary or to get OCLC-brand MARC records for a nominal price
from Amigos.

OCLC will automatically set holdings for libraries that order through
Amigos.

What are the advantages of setting holdings?
In terms of the practical, with holdings set in OCLC, users and librarians
doing a WorldCat search can identify the ebooks they own and can go right to
them -- just as they can in their
OPACs. Beyond the practical, libraries may find that setting ebook holdings
on OCLC positions them to participate in a broad OCLC initiative for the
future. (See http://www.oclc.org/strategy/). OCLC plans to build a public
presence on the web for libraries in general and from this presence, coming
back to the services provided by specific libraries. Libraries would be
better prepared to meet this future by having their electronic holdings
reflected in the OCLC cooperative, just as they have included their physical
holdings.
