Please excuse duplication.

In the Sept 1, 2001 Library Journal, there is a double-page spread from
Somerset Publishers. This is one of the publishers that produces low-quality
materials. Save your money and do not buy from these people.

Recently received in the CTLS office was a flyer from the North American
Book Distributors in Hamburg, Mich. Save your money, and do not buy from
them, either. I have seen books printed by these publishers, unfortunately
in a CTLS member library. They are cheaply bound and certainly not worth the
exorbitant price charged.

If you need information on Texas, the most authoritative works available are
the New Handbook of Texas (also on the web) and the Texas Almanac.
Thank you.
