Evelyn Horan is a Texas author who has written a book called Jeannie, A Texas Frontier Girl, Book One . Her cousin lives here in Gatesville and put us in contact with Evelyn. The book is sort of a Little House on the Prairie type, but takes place in Central Texas. The book is perfect to go along with the Read Across Texas theme. The author is coming to our library to talk to our Summer Reading kids and to have a book signing on May 29. She would be willing to come to other libraries if anyone is interested.
