The University of Wisconsin-Madison has several correspondence courses
available that might be of interest to staff of  small and medium-sized

COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT 3.0 CEUS
prerequisite: a high school diploma 

BASIC REFERENCE 3.0 CEUs
prerequisite: a high school diploma 

BASIC PUBLIC LIBRARY MANAGEMENT from a SERVICES POINT OF VIEW 3.0 CEUs
prerequisite: a high school diploma 

PUBLIC LIBRARY ADMINISTRATION 3.0 CEUs
prerequisite: a college degree 

General Information About Correspondence Courses

*Each course is shipped U.P.S. and includes audio cassettes and a study
guide. These materials are yours to keep. 
     
*The course fee is $329 + $5 shipping and handling per course. 

*We accept checks made payable to UW-Madison and sent to UW-Madison
SLIS/CES, 4263 Helen C. White, 600 N. Park Street, Madison, WI 53706 

*All orders must be prepaid. 

*You may begin your course at any time. We recommend that you complete
one
assignment each week. If that isn�t possible for you, we require that
you
complete the full course within one year of registration. 

*Our office does not sell text books. You may find them in your library,
through interlibrary loan or through your local or online bookstore.
