Listed below are the details from ALA's International Relations Office: ALA and the Guadalajara International Book Fair are partnering to provide support for American librarians to attend the 16th Guadalajara International Book Fair (Feria Internacional de Libro--FIL) from November 30 - December 8, 2002. The FREE PASS Program will provide 3 nights lodging with continental breakfast, or six nights lodging if you share with a colleague, and registration at the expense of FIL, and an ALA contribution of $100 toward the cost of airfare. FREE PASSES will be awarded to up to 200 American librarians who work in the area of Spanish language acquisitions and/or are working to build their Spanish language collection to better serve their community and users.
