Amanda,

That would be super if you could arrange a visit for us. I've spoken with Christine McNew and she gave me practical ideas of what she had done at Fort Bend. But seeing a program in action would be great, too.

Hello everyone,

I am happy to see the discussion on CTLS-L about lapsits.  The Austin Public Library Youth Services Staff provide lapsit programs at several branches.  I would be happy to try and arrange a time when CTLS librarians could visit one of these programs and then maybe talk with the presenter afterwards.  When I was doing storytime (back in the dark ages), lapsits were not done in public libraries.  In fact, toddler time was just starting to be program libraries provided.  I can consult on the topic, but I have no practical personal experience.

Amanda
