I have posted updated handouts on the TSLAC budget situation which I prepared for the CTLS regional meetings at: http://www.ctls.net/TSLACbudget.htm I prepared them using information from the LBB (http://www.lbb.state.tx.us/The_LBB/Menu.htm#Pubs) and the LBB Director's presentation to Senate Finance Committee on January 29. The estimates I made of the amounts for each program and the maximum possible funding for TSLAC in FY04-05 are rough, and it is quite likely that TSLAC can provide more accurate estimates as they prepare their new LAR. I expect that in the current budget climate it is unlikely that the funding will go up substantially, but I welcome any corrections. TSLAC will present the revised budget request to the Library and Archives Commission on February 11 and then to the legislature. That proposed budget will largely determine the maximum amount that programs such as the TexShare databases, Loan Star Library grants, and Systems (including CTLS) will be allocated.
