There are approximately fifteen new-project grants ($200,000 maximum) available from the Texas Education Agency's Even Start Family Literacy Program (9-1-'03 through 8-31-'04). Proposal deadline: 8-6-'03. Possibility for second, third, and fourth-year project funding. The Even Start Family Literacy Program provides intensive family literacy services that involve parents and children, from birth through age seven, in a cooperative effort to help parents become full partners in the education of their children and to assist children in reaching their full potential as learners.
