Dear All,

I hope that all of your reading clubs were successful and enjoyable!
The
Evaluation Form for the 2003 Texas Reading Club is now online at
http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/projects/trc/forms/eval.html. The names
of librarians who complete and return their Evaluation Forms by
September 1, 2003 will be placed into a drawing. First prize is $200
worth of children's
books and second prize is $100 worth of children's books.

It's time to think about ordering supplies for next year. The theme for
the 2004 Texas Reading Club is "Color Your World...Read!" The artist is
Diane Greenseid who illustrated "When Aunt Lena Did the Rhumba" by
Eileen Kurtis-Kleinman as well as many other titles. Rose Trevio
(Houston Public
Library) is writing the bilingual chapter for the 2004 TRC Manual and
Jeanette Larson (Austin Public Library) is the author of all other
chapters. A list of the materials available and the Order Form for the
2004 Texas Reading Club supplies available at
http://www.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/projects/trc/forms/index.html. Please
place your orders as soon as possible!

Copies of both the Evaluation Form and Order Form will be mailed to
participating libraries next week. I look forward to hearing about your
programs when you send in your evaluations.

Best regards,
