El D�a de Los Ni�os/El D�a de Los Libros TLA will offer up to 30 grants to school and public libraries to implement an initial El Dia de Los Ninos/El Dia de Los Libros event or add to an existing program that builds on a prior observance. The application form for these $300 grants may be found at: http://www.texasdia.org. A toolkit with helpful programming suggestions will be posted on this website in November. The local event must be held between April 1 and May 31, 2004. Deadlines: * Four copies of each application must be mailed to Texas Library Association, 3355 Bee Cave Road, Suite 401, Austin, TX 78746-6763. * Applications must be postmarked by December 15, 2003. * Grant recipients will be notified by February 9, 2004, by letter. In addition, their names and library systems or school districts will be posted on the website (http://www.texasdia.org).
