Now is a good time to solicit your local Wal-Mart store. With the company's recent legal woes, management and stockholders are probably eager for some positive press. And what could be more positive than public libraries! For more info, check out the Wal-Mart Foundation web site: http://www.walmartfoundation.org/wmstore/goodworks/scripts/index.jsp Sharon CTLS FUNDER: Wal-Mart Foundation PROGRAM: Holiday Grant SUMMARY: Starting November 3rd and continuing through December 24th, every Wal-Mart store, Supercenter and Neighborhood Market location nationwide will be eligible to give up to $5,000 to local charitable organizations. The Holiday Grant may be awarded to qualifying 501c3 charities, 501c4 civic groups, 501c19 veteran's organizations, public schools and government agencies. In total, Wal-Mart expects to provide $20 million in funding to charitable organizations across the country during the holidays.
