Now is a good time to solicit your local Wal-Mart store. With the company's
recent legal woes, management and stockholders are probably eager for some
positive press.  And what could be more positive than public libraries! For

FUNDER: Wal-Mart Foundation
PROGRAM: Holiday Grant
SUMMARY: Starting November 3rd and continuing through December 24th, every
Wal-Mart store, Supercenter and Neighborhood Market location nationwide will
be eligible to give up to $5,000 to local charitable organizations. The
Holiday Grant may be awarded to qualifying 501c3 charities, 501c4 civic
groups, 501c19 veteran's organizations, public schools and government
agencies. In total, Wal-Mart expects to provide $20 million in funding to
charitable organizations across the country during the holidays. Visit any
Wal-Mart store nationwide to find out more about the Holiday Grant program
and other grant programs available from the Wal-Mart in your community.
